Karing Consulting Health Advocacy services are designed to be flexible and tailored to meet your individual needs. We offer a range of pricing options that take into account your specific situation, along with available payment plans. Depending on your location and the type of service required, our consultations can be conducted virtually or in-person.

Initial Assessment

We will conduct a thorough assessment to collect in-depth information regarding your health status. This assessment may include your medical history, current medications, test results, healthcare providers, support system, financial situation, as well as your concerns and needs. Depending on your preferences, it can take place in one or multiple sessions. We will use this information to develop an Advocacy Plan, which can be delivered in writing, verbally, or via a video recording.

Advocacy Plan

Your Advocacy Plan is a flexible plan that adapt as your needs and circumstances change. It clearly defines your requirements, objectives, strategies to accomplish them, and assigns specific responsibilities to individuals for various tasks. You may have certain responsibilities, like reviewing the materials collected by your advocate. This document will as a guide for the continuous management of your case.

Diagnosis Specific Education

We customize our education for clients and their families to meet specific needs and preferences. We use both clinical and everyday language to ensure everyone informed. Our subjects cover the roles the care team, hospital discharge processes, rehabilitation, and available benefits.

Appointment Support

Keeping track of appointments and remembering important information and recommendations can be challenging for anyone. An advocate can document the discussions and suggestions, supplying your new doctors with a clear and concise medical history to ensure your care is informed by accurate details.

Hospital Stay Support

Hospital stay support is vital during health crises, offering essential medical history, accurate record-keeping, and assistance for patients and families in understanding treatment. Advocates facilitate informed decisions, relay patient preferences to the care team, and help minimize care errors, especially when patients can't communicate. Even without complete medical history, advocates stabilize situations by gathering information and sharing it with the care team and family. This service encompasses both in-person and virtual support.

Discharge Planning & Support

The day a patient is discharged a facility or program can often create a need for additional support that may not be provided by a single discipline. A patient advocate can facilitate the arrangement of essential medications, hand-off information, environmental adjustments, equipment, fresh food, and orientation to a new setting. This proactive approach can help minimize readmissions, address the needs of patients and their families, and ease the workload for staff by extra support and information access.
