This woman is frustrated and attempting to change her hip position because it is partially dislocated, which occurred while trying to get out of bed.

Her hair is pulled up due to weak and swollen upper extremity joints that cannot tolerate holding other styling tools today, or most days.

Last night she didn't due to bladder spasms, back pain, and tingling in both feet. She is 20 yrs old.

After fixing her hip, she almost passed out trying to stand up because her heart rate went from 80 to 130 in 30 seconds. Now the task is to limp to the kitchen to load up on liquid and salt to prevent passing out, a ritual required several times some days.

Ehlers-Danlos syndrome comprises a collection of disorders that impact the connective tissues that support various body organs and tissues, including the skin, bones, and blood vessels. These conditions result from defects in connective tissues, which lead to a range of symptoms from mildly loose joints to severe and life-threatening complications.

It's way more than just having flexible joints. For most, each day is dramatically awful as their body fights itself in ways no one fully understands, especially those on the outside. Imagine having a body that hurts and dysfunctions in ways that defy logic, but health professionals disregard or ignore it. With that said, diagnosis and identification have improved by leaps and bounds.
